real, true, and brave heroes
Americans need to know what our veterans went through to defend our freedom. These veterans should be acknowledged and appreciated, after all the sacrifices they made. Most people like myself on veterans day, spend the time at home or enjoying veterans day sales. But does anyone know the real heroes behind this national holiday ? As Americans we should take the time to thank our veterans.
Just think about what these veterans witnessed during World War I and II. If we put ourselves into these brave heroes shoes I think America would wake up and see veterans in a different way. Veterans are stereotyped as alcoholics and drug addicts. They also have many health problems from the war such as Post-Traumatic Stress. Instead of always thinking about veterans in a negative way we should honor these American heroes.
We should honor veterans mostly because of their faithful service to the nation. These veterans had family members that they left to do one thing, fight for America. Think of everything they gave up on for our freedom. We are able to have our freedom because of these national heroes we call veterans.
